MXR RR104 Special Edition Randy Rhoads Distortion+

På bara några år revolutionerade Randy Rhoads konsten att spela rock ’n’ roll-gitarr genom att förena svävande, klassiskt inspirerade legato-passager och melodier med glödheta, violinliknande leads och supermättade riff. En av de viktigaste komponenterna i detta fängslande sound var MXR Distortion+. Randy använde dess råa energi för att välla över sin high-gain förstärkare med en fors av övertoner. Detta skapade hans soniska signatur som nu etsat ett djup märke och säkrat sin plats i musikhistorien.
Vi firar hans monumentala arv med denna återskapning av hans egna MXR Distortion+. För första gången på 42 år visade familjen Rhoads upp Randys pedalbord för MXR:s designteam på familjens musikskola i Los Angeles – Musonia School of Music. Det skrevs historia när MXR:s designteam försiktigt öppnade pedalbordet och noggrant inspekterade och dokumenterade allt de kunde från denna rock ’n’ roll-artefakt. Teknikerna specificerade noggrant alla komponenterna i Randys vintage Distortion+, med direkt medverkan av systern Kathy Rhoads, och skapade denna signaturmodell för att producera samma rörliknande overdrive toner som hörs på Randys mest älskade låtar. Och naturligtvis är det bara passande att den kommer med en custom finish inspirerad av Randys legendariska Flying V-gitarr.
